We all know our outer world. It has shape and texture, and it is the focus of everything we are taught. There is an inner world of memories, knowledge and experience that bring it to life. Our senses don’t end with this phenomenal world. In addition to all that we hear, touch, see, taste, and smell, there is a rich inner landscape of sensory experience. On some levels we already sense this inner scape of knowing, and have since we were children.
Let’s cycle through some of these inner sensory experiences:
A silent voice but we “heard” it
Something “touches” our hearts
Our mind’s eye, Inner vision, intuition, insight, imagination an “inner scape” that falls outside of formal education
Taste - we say a refined person has exquisite taste or that something leaves a bad taste in our mouth
Smell, something doesn’t smell right, or a smell that triggers a rich memory
An “I had a feeling...” moment
All of the above bring us to a world we haven’t named, but that is the focus of our studies, a rich and nuanced world of inner knowing. This frontier of our inner faculties calls us, it insists we explore and develop it. These streaming inner senses are as available as light, or as water traveling underground.
Join Us as we explore our conscious awareness and inner knowing through journaling. Registration is open and Part 1 of Women Writing - Our Treasury Within, starts October 8th.
